here’s my first post in the bedroom.

summer time is garage sale time, and that means i am going to cram my room with JUNK. on the list of things i’m searching for is vinyl records. my dad managed to score an old Audiotronics 300E record player from the school he works at and for the first little while, we had absolutely no records to play. but since it is garage sale season, my vinyl collection has grown to 8…granted that isn’t much BUT it is a start. i’m keeping my eyes peeled for those gems that will allow my collection to grow. take a look at what i have so far in the headphones page.

so while out for coffee with friends tonight celebrating a friend’s birthday…paula deen was mentioned early on in the conversation (not everyone was involved, and it was really short - but i’m expanding on it now).

a friend was visiting her boyfriend’s family down in the lone star state o’texas, over the weekend. i asked her how it went meeting Q’s mother, jokingly including southern belle celebrity chef paula deen; “so what was his mom like? was she like you thought she was going to be from what you were told about her? oh my god, was she like paula deen?!” to which she replied, “…um no, (laughs) not quite…” ;at which point she continued on with describing her as very nice and very curious about all things canada. 

so that was over and my friend J said he loves paula deen and asked me if i had seen the video of paula getting hit in the face with a ham. “OHMYGOD, REALLY?!” it wasn’t that shocking considering i firmly believe that the animals are finally getting their revenge (i mean come on, snake coming through the bathtub faucet in GATINEAU, that python that got loose from the bronx zoo, methane spewing cows…). harold camping (CAMPING!?) was wrong about the rapture, but i’m right about the animal revolt of 2026. fair game. you’ve been warned.

back on track…the paula deen ham hit is hilarious. watch her get a FROZEN HAM right in the chops.

day 2 has arrived and allllll i could think about last night was posting on here. i think that’s a good sign considering that’s the first time i’ve ever been like that. i decided, after much hesitation, to post something in my closet page. and i’ll continue to do so. i figure the only way i can continue this blog is if i’m open and honest (to an extent, haha). so go ahead and read it here.
